Reverend Tawana Angela Davis, Ph.D., also known as Dr. TAD, is a nationally respected Womanist scholar-practitioner, justice advocate, and visionary leader born and raised in Harlem, New York. She is the founder and curator of Dr. TAD Enterprises, a consulting firm specializing in breast cancer advocacy, leadership development, organizational development, and systems transformation for nonprofit, faith-based, and corporate institutions.
Dr. Davis is also the Co-Founder and President of NobleCareAI and SickTitties, innovative platforms advancing breast health equity, survivorship advocacy, ethical research, and community-centered storytelling. A metastatic breast cancer thriver and certified domestic violence advocate, she weaves lived experience with scholarly depth to create healing, inclusive, and justice-rooted spaces that challenge inequity and promote sustainable change.
A sought-after speaker, preacher, educator, and strategist, Dr. Davis brings decades of expertise in racial equity, human resources, project management, change leadership, and community systems transformation. She is a contributor to Race, Work, and Leadership: New Perspectives on the Black Experience, Explore: Vocational Discovery in Ministry, and the author of You Are Not Your Diagnosis: A Reflective Journey of Healing. Her work has reached national audiences, including through the Telly Award–winning Healing the Healers II series on Domestic Violence Awareness.
Dr. Davis serves on several national boards and advisory councils, including the American Cancer Society’s National Breast Cancer Roundtable Steering Committee, the Bexa Equity Alliance, and Johns Hopkins’ INSPIRE Program, where she advocates for equitable access, culturally grounded care, and community-led solutions for breast cancer patients and LGBTQIA+ communities. She is also a co-founder of Soul 2 Soul Sisters, an initiative focused on uplifting Black lives and advancing racial equity.
Her academic journey began in Harlem public schools and includes a B.S. in Human Resources Management from SUNY Empire State College, undergraduate studies at St. John’s University, certificates in Project Management from NYU and Professional Human Resources from Cornell University, a Master of Divinity from Turner Theological Seminary, and both an M.A. and Ph.D. in Leadership and Change from Antioch University.
At her core, Dr. Davis is a Womanist, a truth-teller, and a community healer. Above all, she is a proud mother of two master-level educators, a grandmother, and a lifelong justice activist committed to transforming systems so all beloveds can thrive.

Seven and a half year metastatic breast cancer survivor and thriver; I use my voice, storytelling, and research to break the cultural norms of silence, shame, and fear in the hopes of reducing the 41% mortality rate of Black women as compared to white women; Guest speaker/presenter at conferences, podcasts, news programming and community events.
